Chile and the United States: Declassified Documents Relating to the Military Coup, September 11, 1973.

By the year 2000,  CIA, NSC, and the Defense Department released records about the USA involvement in the Military Coup of September 11, 1973.

The records presented sections that were blocked using black ink; those black sections of concealed information acted as a scar and an abstract reminder of the extension of the horror. The Records remain relevant to ongoing human rights investigations in Chile, Spain, and other countries and unresolved acts of international terrorism conducted by the Chilean secret police.
